Donald Trump pleads not guilty to allegations of corruption in his recent trial

The former US president Donald Trump has pleaded not in a Washington DC court to conspiring to reverse his electoral defeat.

In a brief arraignment, He spoke in a soft voice to verify the innocence of his plea, his name, and his age, as well as said he was not being influenced by drugs or substances.

President Trump lost the presidential election in 2020 to his Democratic opponent Joe Biden however, he refused to concede and fought for months of contests across a number of US states.

As he spoke to the media before returning back to New Jersey in his private plane, President Trump declared that his trial was a “very sorrowful time in the history of America”.
